Selfie Box Office Collection Day 9: ‘Selfie’ is considered to be one of the biggest flop films of this year. The film did badly at the box office. Not only was the condition bad in the weekdays, even on the weekends the film could not pull the audience towards itself. It has flopped at the box office. If reports are to be believed, Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar’s film ‘Selfie’ has done a business of only Rs 0.5 crore on the 9th day. It was the lowest grossing day ever. Overall, the film has done a business of only Rs 15.52 crores in the entire 9 days. ‘Selfie’ has also made its place in Akshay Kumar’s continuous flop films. Makers and Akshay had high hopes from this, but it turned out to be the biggest disaster.

Story of ‘Selfie’

Directed by Raj Mehta, ‘Selfie’ is the Hindi remake of the Malayalam film ‘Driving License’. Akshay Kumar is playing the character of a superstar, while Emraan Hashmi has become his fan and RTO officer. The story of the film is based on the tussle between Akshay and Emraan Hashmi that started over taking a selfie instead of making a driving license.

Apart from Akshay Kumar and Emraan Hashmi, there are Bollywood stars like Diana Penty, Nushrratt Bharuccha, Adah Sharma in the film. 150 crores was spent in making the film. However, the way it earned, from the producers to the director got a tremendous blow.
