Shahid Kapoor On Jersey Failure: Bollywood superstar Shahid Kapoor is in a lot of discussion these days about the web series ‘Farzi’. Last year Shahid Kapoor’s popular film ‘Jersey’ was released in theatres. But Shahid’s ‘Jersey’ could not rock the box office as per his expectation. Because of which the jersey has proved to be a flop. Meanwhile, now Shahid Kapoor has broken the silence regarding the failure of ‘Jersey’ and told that he was heartbroken due to the flop of this film.
Shahid Kapoor disappointed by the failure of ‘Jersey’
In an interview given to Indian Express, Shahid Kapoor has discussed about the failure of ‘Jersey’. Shahid Kapoor has said that- ‘My heart was broken due to the failure of Jersey. I did not expect that the condition of our film would be like this. Moving the release of the film by 4 months, I think it had an impact. A film is like a fast food which should be eaten without waiting. But this happened due to the late release of our film due to the pandemic. We all have never faced such an epidemic, the way it happened at that time. There was nothing in our hands. Justice was not done to our film. In fact, some things are not certain. In this way, Shahid has given his opinion on the failure of Jersey.
‘Jersey’ flopped at the box office
Shahid Kapoor starrer ‘Jersey’ did badly at the box office. According to the report of Bollywood Hungama, ‘Jersey’ earned only 19.68 crores at the box office. Due to which ‘Jersey’ was included in the list of lowest grossing films of Shahid’s career. Shahid played the role of a cricketer in this film. Actress Mrinal Thakur and actor Pankaj Kapoor played lead roles in this film.
