‘Dearest PM Modi among world leaders’: Italy’s Meloni vows to strengthen ties with India

Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, who met her Indian counterpart Narendra Modi on Thursday, praised the latter and called him the “most loved” leader in the world. Congratulating her for her achievements, PM Meloni asserted that her Indian counterpart has proved that she is a “preeminent leader” in the world.

The Italian Prime Minister said, “PM Modi is the most loved of all the leaders around the world. This really proves that he is a prominent leader and congratulations for that.”

PM Modi also congratulated the youngest PM of Italy

Welcoming PM Meloni on his maiden visit to India, PM Modi said, “In last year’s elections, the people of Italy voted for her and she became the first woman and youngest PM of Italy.” I congratulate him on behalf of Indians for this historic achievement. ,

Notably, the Italian PM is the chief guest and keynote speaker at the 8th Raisina Dialogue 2023. This year marks the Diamond Jubilee or 75 years of bilateral relations between India and Italy.

“On this occasion, we have decided to elevate the India-Italy partnership to the status of a strategic partnership. India will further strengthen its ties with Italy in renewable energy, hydrogen, IT, telecommunications, semiconductors and space. A startup among today A bridge is being announced between India and Italy, which we welcome,” the Indian PM said.

Earlier, Meloni paid tribute to Mahatma Gandhi on Thursday morning by offering floral tributes at Rajghat.
