Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Wednesday discussed various issues faced by the natives of Tripura with Tipra Motha supremo Pradyot Kishore Debbarma in Agartala. BJP President JP Nadda was also present during the meeting.
About his meeting with Home Minister Amit Shah, Tipra Motha chief Pradyot Deb Barman said, “Today we had a meeting with Home Minister Amit Shah, we discussed the long pending problems of the indigenous people of Tripura. The minister has agreed to look into the problems of the people of Tripura.”
He tweeted, “The Home Minister has started the process of a constitutional solution for the indigenous people of Tripura. An interlocutor will be appointed for this process and it will happen within a certain time frame.”
TMP said, “The Home Minister has assured me and my party workers that there will be a constitutional solution to our problems. We will be appointed an interlocutor in 2-3 days through the Government of India. This constitutional solution will be found within a time frame.” will be done in Chief Pradyot Kishore Deb Burman said.
Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma, Tripura CM Manik Saha, Tripura BJP in-charge Sambit Patra, Mahesh Sharma, Mahendra Singh were also present in the meeting.
BJP leader Sambit Patra said, “We briefly discussed how the Indigenous People’s Front of Tripura (IPFT) and the Bharatiya Janata Party can work together for the development of Tripura. We discussed the issues of the tribal community in the meeting. “
Sambit Patra said, “We discussed how to solve these problems and how the indigenous community can get dignity and respect in the state itself? On Women’s Day, we have decided that two women from IPFT and two from BJP MOS rank will be given.
Talking further on this matter, Sambit Patra said, ‘Our party will hold a series of talks with IPFT, political, social parties, Motha. No demand was made from Tipraha Motha, nor from BJP. Take Tripura towards development.”
Pradyot Deb Barman said, “We will have a series of talks with the Chief Minister, we are here for the betterment of Tripura. We are here for a constitutional solution for the indigenous community.”
