Indian artists shine at the inaugural exhibition of ‘Art for Hope 2023’. india news

Hyundai Motor India Foundation (HMIF), the CSR arm of Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL), felicitated 25 artists and 10 art groups at the inaugural exhibition of its ‘Art for Hope 2023’ programme. All grantees received a cumulative grant of Rs. 40 lakhs. Selected entries included stone carvings, photography, paintings, sculptures, installations and mixed media works that were innovative and thought-provoking. Along with providing a platform for artists to advance their art practices through financial grants, the program is also a catalyst for dialogue, collaboration and innovation through the medium of art.
Commenting on the ‘Art for Hope Program’ providing a platform to showcase the inclusivity of art, Mr. Puneet Anand, AVP & Group Head – Corporate Affairs, Hyundai Motor India Ltd. said.Hyundai is committed to ‘Progress for Humanity’ and through our various CSR initiatives under the global CSR philosophy of ‘Carry On’, we are giving back to the society in various ways. ‘Art for Hope’ is a unique platform to unearth hidden talents in diverse fields of art and support them to accelerate their art to a larger audience. ‘Art for Hope’ is our first Art CSR program and the second edition focused on artists who express various environmental, social and community centric issues in their own unique style.
“We congratulate all the winners and hope that their works will serve as inspiration for others to make a positive impact within their communities. In this edition, we arranged a series of workshops, talks and performances which will provide a unique experience to the visitors and provide a platform to the artists to showcase their talent. A ‘six-day exhibition’ named ‘Art for Hope’ festival to showcase the diverse art-works of these talented artists from different corners of India. Exhibitions include visual, digital, performance and folk and traditional arts and crafts. The exhibit is inclusive and has been made accessible to persons with disabilities, including audio-visual tours in sign language. Workshops are planned on printmaking and traditional arts like Madhubani and Gond, besides tie and dye, block printing and landscape art. Special guided tours are available daily for visitors. The festival began on Monday, February 27, 2023, and is open to the public from February 28 to March 05, 2023 at LTC Building, Bikaner House, New Delhi.
