15 killed, many injured in road accidents in Bihar in 48 hours. Patna News

Patna: At least 15 people were killed and several others injured in different road accidents in Vaishali, Jamui, Saharsa, Purnia, Araria, Munger and Kishanganj districts during the last 48 hours.
Three motorcycle-borne youths died after being hit by a speeding SUV on Mahua-Desari main road of Mahua police station area of ​​Vaishali district on Wednesday night. Police said the three victims were on their way to a friend’s in-laws’ place to celebrate Holi when the incident took place.
The victims have been identified as Raja Kumar (26), Pappu Ram (25) and Sumit Kumar Singh (23). SHO of Mahua police station Prabhat Ranjan along with the police team reached the spot and took possession of the dead bodies. Later the bodies were sent to Hajipur Sadar Hospital for postmortem. Police have taken possession of the SUV and the crashed motorcycle.
According to the SHO, after the accident, the SUV driver was trying to escape with the vehicle. “He lost control of the vehicle and it rammed into a shop in Purani Bazar. Hearing the noise, locals gathered at the spot. The driver, however, managed to escape from the vehicle. We are trying to trace the accused driver. ” Ranjan said.
In another incident, a youth was killed and five others injured when two motorcycles collided head-on near Farda village on Munger-Lakhisarai (NH-80) road in Munger district. The deceased has been identified as Raja Kumar of Begusarai. All the injured have been admitted to the government hospital in Munger. Meanwhile, three youths died in two incidents in Araria. In the first incident, a speeding pick-up van hit a bike on the Forbesganj-Raniganj main road in Haripur on Wednesday near the Lutia bridge. Ranjit Kumar (21) and his friend Deepak Kumar died on the spot in the accident.
They were going to Raghunathpur Bhargama to distribute wedding cards when the incident took place.
In another incident, two motorcycle-borne youths, Amar Kumar and Sikandar Kumar, were killed in a collision with a vehicle near Jogbani under Bhawanipur police station area on Wednesday. On Wednesday, Amit Kumar (30), a resident of Ara Mill, died after being hit by a speeding truck near Singhia Chowk in Kishanganj district. In another incident, a brother and sister riding a bike were killed when they were hit by a speeding SUV near Satyan village on the Jamui-Lakshisarai main road in Jamui district.
The victims have been identified as Sanju Devi and her brother Sumit Kumar. On the other hand, four people died in separate road accidents in Purnia. A speeding truck crushed a bike rider near Agriculture College of Sadar police station area.
In another incident, two people were killed after being hit by an SUV in Tintolia. A young man died after being hit by an auto in Champavati under Sarsi police station area. Amit Kumar (23), who was going to his in-laws’ house to celebrate Holi in Camp village of Saurabazar police station area of ​​Saharsa, died in a road accident.
