“The woman was already married with two children. Even if he had decided to enter into a homosexual relationship, he should have been either divorced or unmarried. It is a contentious issue as the younger woman is a minor,” said Krishna Prasad, Station House Officer (SHO) of Rosera police station in Bihar’s Samastipur district.
The woman’s husband and her two children were living with the minor girl in a rented house in the village of Rosera police station area.
However, the situation took a dramatic turn on Friday when the woman’s elder sister-in-law along with 10-15 people reached their house and forcibly took the girl away.
The woman then went to the police station along with her husband and children and demanded the return of her ‘abducted’ younger sister-in-law.
The woman claimed that she had married her younger sister-in-law five-six months back and that her husband was aware of their relationship and had no objection to it.
He told the police that he loved the girl very much and could not live without her.
Meanwhile, the situation worsened when the woman banged her head against a temple wall and injured herself on Sunday, police said.
He is being treated at Rosera Sub-Divisional Hospital.
“There is nothing wrong in our relationship as we love each other very much,” the woman told media persons.
Meanwhile, her husband said that he supported his wife in everything to make her happy.
