Daily wage laborer allegedly lynched in Bihar; Local people demonstrated demanding arrest

A 35-year-old daily wage laborer was allegedly beaten to death in Bihar’s Bhagalpur district on Wednesday.

A sole bread earner and a resident of Baluvachak, the deceased had left behind his wife and two children.
Police recovered the body lying near the railway track near Puraini area near Bhagalpur district of Bihar.

Angry locals had blocked the Hansdiha-Bhagalpur road in protest against the murder and demanded immediate arrest of the culprits.
The local people calmed down after the intervention of the police, after which the body was sent for post-mortem.
Confirming the death, the police said that the man was beheaded after being mercilessly thrashed. Police claim that this incident could happen on Tuesday.
A police officer, on the condition of anonymity, said, “The incident seems to have taken place in a clash between a group after consuming alcohol.”
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Anand Kumar said, “A police team led by law and order DSP has started probing the murder from all possible angles.”
