Dmk: DMK MP TR Balu visits Bihar, submits Nitish Kumar MK Stalin’s report on migrants. Chennai News

Chennai: DMK MP TR Balu on Tuesday submitted a report of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin to Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on the current situation in the state and the safety of guest labourers.
Balu handed over a sealed letter from Stalin to Nitish and according to DMK sources, informed Kumar about the present scenario in the state and the measures taken for the safety of guest workers. “Balu assured Nitish that appropriate steps have been taken to prevent untoward incidents,” said a source.
The issue of the safety of guest workers has become a hot topic of debate in the state after rumors spread on social media that they were being attacked by locals. There have also been false reports of killings of guest workers in Tamil Nadu. Though the state government has clarified that no such incident took place, the DMK and the BJP are blaming each other for the tense situation.
While the BJP blamed the DMK’s anti-Hindi issue for the current situation, the DMK accused the BJP of spreading rumors to create panic.
MP and Lok Janshakti Party chief Chirag Paswan, who submitted a representation to Governor RN Ravi on Monday, said he had come to Tamil Nadu after receiving information about attacks on migrant labourers. Responding to Chirag, DMK MP A Raja said in a statement that it was the BJP that spread rumors about the attacks and asked Chirag not to believe them. He said that a team of officials from Bihar had also interacted with the guest laborers and confirmed that there was no attack on the migrant laborers and they were safe in Tamil Nadu.
Meanwhile, CM Stalin said divisive forces were trying to harm the “Dravidian model of government”, which he claimed had earned praise in other states.
