
Bihar Police on Friday said that around 17 cartons of liquor brought from Haryana for Holi festival have been recovered from the fish pond of Harpur village in Vaishali district. Vaishali police station in-charge Suresh Prasad Chowdhary told news agency ANI, “Further action will be taken by registering an FIR in the matter.”

Meanwhile, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has directed the state home and police department to keep a close watch on the law and order situation in the state in view of the upcoming Holi festival. Dhami said that the police department should make elaborate arrangements regarding Holi. Special vigilance should be exercised in the districts bordering the state.
