Patna: Patna Police and district administration have deployed additional magistrates and police personnel to prevent any untoward incident during the festivals of Holi and Shab-e-Barat in the city. An intensive vehicle checking campaign has also been launched to catch people smuggling liquor in the dry state.
Patna DM Chandrashekhar Singh said that since both the festivals will be celebrated on the same day, senior police officers have been asked to keep a special eye on sensitive places and anti-social elements. He directed the concerned officers to keep the social media monitoring cell active and to refute the rumors immediately. “Action will be taken against anti-social elements under sections 107 and 116 of CrPC.
