New Delhi: Gujarat Titans’ batter Shubman Gill continued his form and fired his third century of the season. He displayed remarkable footwork as he hit 10 sixes and 7 fours to score 129 off 60. His match-winning knock and the 106-metre huge six garnered stunning reactions from the cricket fraternity both on and off the field. While he earned praise from King Kohli, Rohit Sharma, and Hardik Pandya’s on-field reactions said it all.

RCB batter Virat Kohli took to his Instagram stories and shared a picture of Shubman Gill celebrating his century and added a star emoji to it. Meanwhile, as Shubamn hit the 106-metre six, GT skipper Hardik Pandya was seen holding his head in awe. His reaction soon went viral on the internet.

Gill played a tennis-like shot against Cameron Green in the 17th over and MI skipper Rohit was left bewildered as he found him unstoppable. Sunil Gavaskar, who was commentating, described it as a tennis shot and called it a ‘parallel six’. After the game, Rohit appreciated Gill’s knock and said that he batted well. He said that they have to give the credit for their loss to Gill and hinting at WTC Final, added that he hopes he continues the form.

During the post-match presentation, Hardik called Shubman a ‘superstar’ and said that he will do ‘big things’ for the franchise and for the Indian team.

In the game, Shubman and Sai Sudharsan had a 138-run stand for the second wicket as they laid the stage for a 200+ total. Sudharsan scored 43 off 38 before getting retired hurt and Hardik Pandya finished the affairs with his 28* off 13 taking GT to 233/3.

Ishan Kishan’s concussion gave a clear opportunity for GT to strike and Mohammed Shami dismissed both Rohit and Nehal Wadhera before Mohit Sharma picked a 5-wicket haul in just 2.2 overs. MI was wrapped up for 171 as GT marched to the finals against CSK.
