‘Bhai log ki demand’: Suryakumar Yadav plays ‘Supala shot’ during street cricket

Suryakumar Yadav is one of the finest batsmen in modern day cricket. Due to his exceptional stroke play, people call him as Mr. 360 of India. The 32-year-old is in limelight as he was spotted playing street cricket in Mumbai. In the video uploaded on Twitter, Surya was seen playing a special supla shot.

A Twitter page called Mumbai Indians One Family captioned the post, “Surya Bhau seen playing street cricket in Mumbai.” Suriya also shared the short clip on his Instagram story and wrote, “Bhai log ki maang supla shot (Supla shot, on the demand of my brothers).”

It went viral after the video was posted on social media. On Twitter, it has garnered hundreds of likes and comments while on Instagram it has garnered over 1,200 likes and over 22,000 views.

Surya is currently participating in the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy between India and Australia. Having made his international debut in 2021, the Mumbai batsman has been consistently making headlines with his hitting prowess. In 2022, he became the first Indian batsman to score 1000 runs in a calendar year in T20Is.

As a result, Surya made it into the Indian Test team. The stylish batsman got a chance in the playing XI in the first Test vs Australia in Nagpur. But unfortunately, he could not make it count as he scored only 8 runs. India’s Mr. 360 also became the first player to debut for India in all three formats after being 30 or older.

Earlier, Yadav had gone to Tirupati after making his Test debut with his wife. He visited the Tirumala Venkateswara Temple and sought blessings. Surya will play for Mumbai Indians in IPL 2023 starting next month. Mumbai Indians will start their campaign by playing against Royal Challengers Bangalore in their first match.
