IND vs AUS: Senior cricketers Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma along with their teammates welcomed Holi with colorful festivities ahead of the fourth and final Test between India and Australia at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad starting Thursday, March 9.

Indian players celebrated the festival of colors with each other inside the team bus. India batsman Shubman Gill shared the video of Team India’s joyous celebration on Instagram. In the viral video, skipper Rohit Sharma can be seen throwing ‘gulal’ on Virat’s back.

After losing the first two Tests inside three days, Australia made a stunning comeback in the Indore Test to win their first match in the four-match Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2023. Despite losing the 3rd Test, India still lead the IND vs AUS Test series. 2-1. The fourth and last match of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy between the two teams will be played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad from March 9.

A major milestone is on the way when Team India takes on Australia at one of the largest stadiums in the world, a record currently held by the historic Melbourne Cricket Ground in Australia. The MCG holds the record for the highest number of spectators in a single day in Test cricket.

Over 85,000 tickets have been sold so far for the first day’s play of the India vs Australia Ahmedabad Test. This number is expected to cross one lakh on the very first day itself. The total capacity of Ahmedabad Stadium is 1,32,000.

If 1 lakh or more spectators come to watch the Ind vs Australia fourth Test match at Ahmedabad Stadium, then it will be the first time in the history of Test cricket that so many spectators will be present in the stadium. The previous record for the highest number of spectators in a single day at the MCG was during the 2013–14 Ashes series, when 91,112 spectators sat inside the stadium to enjoy the match.
