Ravi Shastri attacks Team India after Australia’s loss

In the struggle to make it to the final of the World Test Championship, Team India lost to Australia in the third Test match played in Indore on Friday. Chasing an easy target of 76, the Kangaroos did it with ease on the third day. Left-handed Travis Head scored 49 and helped Australia win the match.

Former India head coach Ravi Shastri was disappointed after India lost the game. “This is what a little complacency, a little overconfidence can do where you take things lightly, you let the guard down and the game will bring you down. I think it was a combination of all these things when you Really take your mind back.” For the first innings, watch some of the shots played, some over-eagerness and try to dominate in these conditions. You look back, take a step or two back to analyze.

Australia registered their first win in the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy by defeating India by 9 wickets on the third day of the India vs Australia 3rd Test in Indore. India lead the four-match Test series 2-1 and are yet to qualify for the World Test Championship (WTC).

Just after Australia won the match against India, the Indore pitch used for the third India-Australia Test match has been given a poor rating by the International Cricket Council (ICC). The fixture lasted for two days with a total of 31 wickets falling in the match. 26 of the 31 wickets went to the spinners on a track that was helping them from the very first session of the first day. Notably, this was the third consecutive Test match in the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy to end inside three days.

According to the ICC report, match referee Chris Broad said, “The pitch, which was very dry, did not provide balance between bat and ball, in favor of the spinners from the very beginning.”

“The fifth ball of the match broke through the surface of the pitch and continued to break the surface occasionally causing little or no seam movement and excessive and uneven bounce throughout the match,” he underlined.

The fourth and final Test of the India vs Australia Test series will be played in Ahmedabad. India will have to beat Australia in the Ahmedabad Test to make it to the final of the WTC.
