UP Warriors have handed Mumbai Indians their first defeat in Women’s Premier League 2023. The Alyssa Healy-led side did so in style by registering a win against the table toppers in the first match of the WPL double at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai. Header on Saturday.
After winning the toss and electing to bowl, UP bundled out the star-studded Mumbai line-up for 127 and chased down the target with 3 balls to spare. Sophie Ecclestone was one of the bowlers for the winning side as she finished with figures of 3 for 15 and made important contributions with the bat to help her side secure a thrilling victory.
