Union Minister Ashwini Kumar Choubey has accused the state government of spreading rumors that it was giving jobs to youths, instead of fulfilling the rights of Bihar youths by allowing candidates from other states, including Uttar Pradesh, to take examinations for jobs in the state. Choubey argued that the government should have taken steps to secure a proportion of posts for job seekers from Bihar. He also criticized the grand alliance government that also has the RJD, claiming that the state government is putting “lathis” in the hands of youths. Choubey countered Deputy CM Tejashwi Prasad Yadav’s statement that the UP government is creating a rift between Hindus and Muslims and using bulldozers. The state accused Choubey of practicing sycophancy and aimed to please his party’s high command. JDU spokesman Abhishek Jha argued that the government of PM Narendra Modi should have given jobs to 18 crore youths at the rate of promised 2 crore jobs per year.
