
Pakistan Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah said the Shehbaz Sharif-led government plans to consult experts to start the process of declaring Imran Khan’s political party Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) a “banned” organisation. In which it has been claimed that the police have seized weapons and petrol bombs. From the former Prime Minister’s residence in Lahore.

Police reached Imran Khan’s house when he had gone from Lahore to Islamabad to attend a court hearing. Pakistan media reported that while Imran Khan was in Islamabad, over 10,000 armed Punjab Police personnel entered his residence and arrested dozens of his supporters.
Interior Minister Sanaullah said, “Terrorists were hiding in Zaman Park. Weapons, petrol bombs etc have been recovered from Imran Khan’s residence, which is enough evidence to register a case of PTI being a militant organisation.”
“Primarily it is a judicial process to declare any party as accused. However, we will consult our legal team on this issue.”

Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said, “If anyone had any doubts, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chairman Imran Niazi’s actions over the past few days have exposed his fascist and extremist tendencies”, while Maryam Nawaz Sharif Said, “I wonder whether he calls himself a politician. Politicians are not afraid of going to jail and accountability. Only thieves and terrorists do. The fear of arrest shows that the cases against him (Imran) are genuine.”
“He is a coward as he walked out of the court without registering his presence,” he added.
